Paulsa is made to be given away. There is no price, ordering system, or secret Venmo amount that unlocks a container.
It started as salsa. It accidentally became a tradition.
Paul makes salsa because he likes making salsa. That is basically the whole business plan. Both the red and green versions start with smoked tomatoes and other smoked ingredients before everything is mixed and finished by hand.
There is no locked formula designed to make every container identical. Paul adjusts each batch by taste as he goes, which means every batch of Paulsa is genuinely unique, same idea, slightly different result.
Over time, the containers started showing up at cookouts, family get-togethers, neighborhood gatherings, and the kind of events where somebody eventually asks, “Wait, who made this?”
So now it has a website. Still not a business. Just significantly better branded.
Asking with more conviction has been tested. It does not appear to affect the outcome.
